Courses I Teach at EOSC-Idabel

I have been teaching at EOSC-Idabel campus since Fall 2000.  I am responsible for the nursing "trifecta" which includes Human Anatomy, Intro. to Microbiology, and Human Physiology (Nursing Emphasis).  I also teach General Biology and General Zoology when needed.  Enrolled students will use Blackboard for most course materials, including syllabi.  I am also General Studies Advisor and responsible for the day-to-day running of the laboratory.

Biol. 2114 Human Anatomy-Fall/Spring

Emphasis is on the structures of the human body through many of the major systems with an introduction to histology.  Hands on animal dissections are required.  Same as ZOO 2114.  (Class 3, Lab 2, Credit 4).

 

Biol. 2204 Human Physiology-Spring only

Human Physiology (Nursing Emphasis) (Prerequisites: NUTRIT 1203 & Biol 2114 (with “C” or better). Normal functioning of the human body, including chemical and physical processes.  Not appropriate for life science majors (Class 3, Lab 2, Credit 4).

 

Biol. 2124 Intro. to Microbiology-Fall/Spring

Introductory study of general principles of microbiology. Not appropriate for life science majors.  A lab is included as Biol. 2124L. (Class 3, Lab 2, Credit 4).

Zool. 1114 General Zoology-Fall

The fundamental principles that govern living things with emphasis on animals; structure, functions, characteristics, life histories and habits of selected examples of the animal phyla. 4 hrs credit.

 Biol. 1114 General Biology-Fall/Spring
General life science involving a study of the principles of biology and the more important aspects of human, plant, and animal life. 4 hrs credit.
